SHAH ALAM, 5 JULY 2018 - The professional training of law graduates in Malaysia has intersects with multiple avenues into the legal profession requiring variant standards of admittance. This scenario has instigated the need to remonstrate the existing state of affairs. 

KDU was chosen by the Inns of Court Malaysia (ICM) to host the 2nd Legal Education Series. ICM is currently headed by YA Bhg. Tun Arifin Zakaria; retired Chief Justice (2017) with YA Bhg. Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi as the Honourable Advisor.  The event took part in ‘Trial and Appellate Advocacy – Perspective from the Bench and Bar’ with invaluable opportunity for practical guidance by Judges and senior counsel on the conduct of civil and criminal.  

There were four speakers attended the event. The Moderator for this Legal Series 2 is Justice S.Nantha Balan , Judge of High Court Malaysia, and the speakers are Justice Dato; May Lim Thiam Suan, Judge Court and Appeal discussed about the Conduct of Appeals and Appellate Advocacy ( Civil) and  second speaker Justice Datuk Vazeer Alam Mydin, High Court Judge Shah Alam on the topics of Pre-trial Case Management and Trial Advocacy. For the wrapped up Mr Hiysam Tehh Pok Teik, Advocate and Solicitor cover the topic on Criminal Trial and Appelatte Advocacy.

This eventful of the talk yet another milestone for KDU’s commitment and pledge to offer the best quality of education for its law students to embark on a challenging journey pertaining to legal matters. It is hoped that this would bring more global opportunities for KDU law graduates to venture into the real industry as they form a new direct linkage with the professional body.
